NEW MEXICO (KRQE) – Scattered showers and storms will continue overnight tonight and into Sunday morning. Cloudy skies could bring a lighter, steadier rainfall. Areas that see sunshine will have a better chance at seeing heavier rain in the afternoon. Again, widespread showers and thunderstorms will develop by Sunday afternoon, including a better chance for heavier rain in the Albuquerque Metro. The heaviest rain on Saturday will likely fall in north-central New Mexico, down to south-central parts of the state. High temperatures will be below average statewide on Sunday afternoon.

Drier and warmer weather starts moving into New Mexico on Monday, but a few isolated storms are still likely. Storm chances will fall to zero starting Tuesday as we likely see the end of this year’s monsoon season. Dry and warmer weather will stick around into the beginning of October…
