Grand jury indicts Albuquerque parents after baby’s death

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – A grand jury has indicted the parents accused of the death of their three-month-old baby. According to the Albuquerque Police Department, three-month-old Mika Castillo was rushed to the hospital with a fractured skull, multiple brain hemorrhages, and severe bruising. She died earlier this month.

Jessica Brusuelas was indicted on intentional child abuse resulting in death and three counts of child abuse resulting in great bodily harm. Meanwhile, Johnathan Castillo was also indicted on intentional child abuse resulting in death, three counts of child abuse resulting in great bodily harm, and more. Brusuelas and Castillo are expected to be arraigned on their charges on Monday.
