ABQ mayoral candidates spar about crime, economy, homelessness, housing in debate

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — All six Albuquerque mayoral candidates on the ballot shared their policy positions on Tuesday as they took questions from business community leaders. The event was hosted by NAIOP New Mexico, a commercial real estate development association.

The economy and process for small businesses loans, zoning and permits were top of mind. The candidates spoke about the metro’s sluggish permitting and inspection system for small businesses.
