Man accused of killing Albuquerque teen facing new charges in separate shooting case

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – An Albuquerque murder suspect is facing new charges in a separate case after police say he shot a man in an attempted robbery, according to court documents filed on Monday.

Austin Olimb, 18, currently remains behind bars after police said he shot and killed 17-year-old Angelo Tafoya at the Ridge Apartments on Tramway Boulevard on the night of Sept. 16. Investigators said Olimb and Tafoya were negotiating a deal to exchange marijuana for a gun when Olimb opened fire.
