ASUNM to roll out Lobo Lift in the spring

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Walking alone, late at night with not many lights around, is an everyday reality for some University of New Mexico students.

The Associated Students at the University of New Mexico is hoping to help ease that reality with Lobo Lift in the spring. Students can get a ride if they live in the dorms and are walking back home after a late class.

ASUNM first got a $100,000 grant for the program back in 2023, but funding issues kept the program from operating long term. With the help of UNM President Garnett Stokes and other UNM leaders, they are hoping to kick it off next semester…
