Crews respond after car crashes into Albuquerque apartment building

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Albuquerque Fire Rescue responded to an apartment complex at 4401 Morris St. on October 6, to reports that a vehicle had crashed into a building and occupants were trapped.

Crews responded to the scene and confirmed a vehicle had crashed into the building and one person was trapped in the vehicle. AFR crews extracted the victim and evacuated the four apartment units that were impacted. The crash destroyed the stairwell and AFR crews needed to use ladders to access the 2nd floor of the building. Six people were displaced. The occupant of the vehicle was the only person transported from the scene. No other details have been released.
