ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The Bernalillo County District Attorney’s Office has named a long-time Bernalillo County deputy to the Giglio List, but why is still unclear. The office added Jeffry Bartram to the list meaning he’ll no longer be called as a witness in court.
Former Albuquerque gun store owner pleads guilty
Bartram joined the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office in 2010. In March, KRQE News 13 reported that the agency placed him on paid administrative leave after opening an Internal Affairs investigation. BCSO told KRQE News 13 that the investigation is still ongoing, but information that has been uncovered has led the DA to deem Bartram not credible.
Neither the DA’s Office nor BCSO is commenting on what prompted that IA investigation. Both have told KRQE News 13 that it has nothing to do with the ongoing public corruption scandal involving metro-area police officers being paid by an attorney to get DWI cases dismissed…
