ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – One of the teens involved in a botched robbery that left a 14-year-old dead took a plea deal Thursday. Janiyah Pino pleaded guilty to attempted armed robbery and conspiracy to commit armed robbery.

Police say Pino was among a group of teenagers that attempted to rob a couple while they sat in their vehicle at an apartment complex off Tramway north of I-40 in Albuquerque. Police say one of the suspects, 15-year-old Jeriah Salas along with 14-year-old suspect Alonzo Sanderson shot the woman in the passenger seat. The woman’s husband shot back at the teens, striking Alonzo, killing him. Under the plea agreement, Pino is set to spend two years in a juvenile detention facility under CYFD supervision.
