Suspect facing charges in UNM dorm room shooting appears in court

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The University of New Mexico student who lived in the dorm where a 14-year-old was shot and killed, is the only one of the three people charged, being released until trial.

The state tried to make their point Friday that 19-year-old Daniel Archuleta allowed criminal activity into his dorm room which ended in that fatal shooting.

“Defendant invited codefendants John Fuentes, Zion Miera to his dorm who have been held on pre-trial detention motions already your honor, to his dorm and allowed them to bring firearms, narcotics and a minor, Michael onto campus,” said a state prosecutor in court Friday…
