Community weighs in on proposed hypersonic missile facility near Rio Rancho

RIO RANCHO, N.M. – A new hypersonic missile production and testing facility could be making its way towards Sandoval County.

Castelion, a hypersonic missile company, addressed public concerns during a meeting on Tuesday night. The facility could be less than three miles from some Rio Rancho homes. That’s why dozens of people filled the cafeteria at Cielo Azul Elementary and did not hold back when they had a chance to question the plans for this facility.

Andrew Kreitz, Castelion’s co-founder, wanted to set the record straight. If the missile production and testing facility is built in northern Rio Rancho, no missiles will launch from there…
