Albuquerque Residents Invited to Free Medieval Faire at UNM on Halloween

On October 31, 2025, the University of New Mexico’s Institute for Medieval Studies (IMS) will hold its third annual Medieval Faire on Johnson Field in Albuquerque. The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. It is free and open to the public. Families, students, and community members are invited to attend and learn about aspects of medieval life.

More than 30 organizations will participate. Activities will include live sword fighting, armor displays, traditional music and dance, Shakespearean theater, and hands-on crafts. The event will also feature trick-or-treating, food trucks, a medieval-themed bake sale, and opportunities to meet local artists and educators.
