Public meeting on sale of New Mexico Gas Company set

NEW MEXICO (KRQE) – The New Mexico Public Regulation Commission is holding a public hearing where community members will be able to give input on the sale of New Mexico Gas Company (NMGC) to Bernhard Capital Partners.

Last year, Emera, the current owner based in Nova Scotia, agreed to sell NMGC to Bernhard Capital Partners for $1.25 billion. If approved, Saturn Holdco, which is part of a managed portfolio of companies under the support of Bernhard Capital Partners Management, will replace Emera Inc. as the owner of NMGC. The NMPRC invites residents to attend a public hearing and provide input.

The meeting will take place on Tuesday, Oct. 28, from 4-7 p.m. at the NM811-Call Before You Dig Building, 1021 Eubank Blvd. NE, Albuquerque. The meeting will also be streamed live on the NMPRC’s YouTube channel…
