I-40 back open after two major crashes east of Albuquerque

MORIARTY, N.M. — I-40 is back open east of Albuquerque after two major crashes sent multiple people to the hospital and slowed traffic Thursday.

While responding to a semi-truck fire at around 10:20 a.m., Moriarty fire crews found three semis and three cars crashed near mile marker 195 on westbound I-40.

Four people were hospitalized in unknown condition.
