Albuquerque man arrested for allegedly dismembering mother

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — An Albuquerque man is in jail for allegedly killing his mother, dismembering her and keeping her body parts in a freezer.

Leroy Vallejos is in jail for the death of his mother, discovered Tuesday at a residence near Rhode Island Street and Copper Avenue in southeast Albuquerque. While searching her residence, police allegedly found her remains dismembered and frozen in plastic bags.

According to APD, a family member reported her missing Oct. 17. Multiple people, including family members, a neighbor and her caregiver provider, said they hadn’t heard from her in about a month after usually hearing from her at least once or twice a week…
