NMSP working to recruit more women to law enforcement

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – New Mexico State Police is starting a women in law enforcement campaign to encourage women to rise to the challenge and consider a career with the agency.

“Before I became state police, I was personally affected by a crime, so I promised myself that I would protect and speak for those who are afraid to speak up and for those who can no longer speak,” says Deputy Chief Carolyn Huynh about what motivated her to become an officer.
