ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Thanksgiving is right around the corner, and several Albuquerque organizations have events set up to help make sure everyone has access to a holiday meal.
Below, you will find a list of free meals and food giveaways happening in November 2025.
Thanksgiving meals and turkey giveaways
Albuquerque Thanksgiving Meal Giveaway
- What: Lerner and Rowe will be giving away 1,000 Thanksgiving meal packages to make a traditional holiday meal. Only one Thanksgiving meal package will be handed out per family, on a first-come, first-served basis, while supplies last.
- When: Friday, Nov. 7
- Time: 4 p.m.
- Where: Expo New Mexico Fairgrounds, 300 San Pedro Dr. NE (Enter at Gate #3)
Joy Junction Thanksgiving Feast
- What: Joy Junction is hosting its annual Thanksgiving Feast for those who are homeless or hungry.
- When: Wednesday, Nov. 26
- Time: 11 a.m.-2 p.m.
- Where: Albuquerque Convention Center, 401 2nd St. NW
La Mesa Presbyterian ChurchFeast of Hope
- What: La Mesa Presbyterian Church will serve Thanksgiving takeout meals and is marking 20 years of the annual event.
- When: Thursday, Nov. 27 (Thanksgiving Day)
- Time: 11 a.m. until 1 p.m
- Where: La Mesa Presbyterian Church, 7401 Copper Ave. NE.

Food banks and pantries
If you are in need of food, there are several organizations in Albuquerque that host food distribution events; however, Thanksgiving meal items are not guaranteed.
