ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The results are in – and Maisy is the name of the new baby hippo at the Albuquerque BioPark Zoo.
Maisy received the most votes, the ABQ BioPark revealed to KOB 4. Maisy received more votes than Magdalena, Chama and Pearl to be selected as the name.
The BioPark asked people to vote for the name of the hippo, born Oct. 14 to Karen and Moe. Voting was open for about a week and ended Tuesday – Election Day no less.
