ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – A woman accused of starting a fire at a nonprofit group’s warehouse in Albuquerque was arrested just over one year after the incident occurred.
Investigators believe 39-year-old Samantha Lee caused the blaze at the Oliver Rigby Foundation’s building on Menaul near University on Oct. 14, 2024. The fire not only destroyed the building, but also wiped out the organization’s donations meant for animal shelters.

In November 2024, Albuquerque Police issued an arrest warrant for Lee as she was allegedly seen on surveillance video igniting fires at two boarded-up windows, an out-of-order sprinkler control box, and a door, according to court documents…
