NEW MEXICO (KRQE) – People in New Mexico were treated to a stunning light show Tuesday night. The northern lights were visible from several states throughout the U.S., including New Mexico and the Albuquerque metro area.
Tuesday morning, NOAA’s Space Weather Prediction Center reported that a strong solar flare was spotted on the sun, sparking a severe-level storm watch for Earth. The severe geomagnetic storm lit up skies with the northern lights across Canada, the U.S. and as far south as Mexico.
