We are starting this weekend on a milder note in Albuquerque reaching a low of 45 degrees. Today, sunshine and a bit of cloud coverage, particular in the west, is expected across parts of the Land Enchantment. Record warmth is possible once again in several towns. The Duke City could set or tie a record high temperature in Albuquerque this afternoon. The record for November 15 is 73 degrees, which was previously set in 1903. After Saturday’s unseasonably warm temperatures we will see our temperatures slowly take a tumble throughout next week.
A pattern change is on the way for southern Colorado and New Mexico starting on Sunday. A low-pressure system and pacific cold front will push forward light showers in primarily in the northwestern region of New Mexico and also bringing southern Colorado. This system is expected to bring mountain snow to portions of southern Colorado and the northern mountains. Temperatures will be a bit cooler on Sunday, but throughout next week temperatures will be dropping into the upper 50s in Albuquerque.
Another low-pressure system will push through the southwest United States through midweek bringing additional mountain snow chances and rainfall to the New Mexico region. Cloudier skies are also forecasted throughout next week in addition to the precipitation chances. Sunday and Monday will also be breezy throughout the Land of Enchantment as that first system approaches. Have a great weekend!…
