Site near Rio Rancho selected for hypersonic missile facility

SANDOVAL COUNTY, N,M. — Castelion has officially selected a site near Rio Rancho for their multi-million-dollar hypersonic missile production and testing facility.

The project, titled “Project Ranger,” will involve advanced weapons manufacturer Castelion building a rocket motor production facility a few miles west of Rio Rancho to assemble and test the next generation of U.S. hypersonic missiles.

The new facility will add at least 300 new jobs. Many of them will be high-paying engineering jobs. Officials believe this will generate more than $650 million in economic output over the next 10 years…
