ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — A local family is picking up the pieces and leaning on our community after a devastating house fire. The family of seven is suddenly homeless, after a fire nearly destroyed their house over the weekend.
They’re trying to salvage what they can after flames engulfed the entire second floor—leaving charred remains of what was cherished belongings and memories days ago.
“We were stuck on the balcony for a good while. The firefighters responded pretty fast, but even our neighbors, they were yelling, ‘do you guys need a ladder?’ And ‘someone get a ladder.’” Bear Arreguin said. “It wasn’t super long, but it felt like forever.”…
