RIO RANCHO, N.M. – When the 99th annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade kicks off Thursday morning, viewers in New Mexico may spot a familiar face among the performers.
Victoria Phillips, a Rio Rancho High School graduate, will take part in the nationally watched parade as a member of Northern Arizona University’s marching band. Phillips, who plays French horn, said performing in the parade is a dream come true.
“I’m going to be in the Macy’s Day Parade!” she said. “I am so absolutely excited. I watch this every year with my family. It just means so much to me that I am going to be a part of it.”…
