City begins $6M construction on deteriorated stairs at The Beach apartment complex

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – An affordable city-owned housing complex that is known for its colorful and intricate design is now receiving some much-needed repairs years after issues with the complex’s stairs were first discovered

The Beach apartment complex, which sits on the corner of Central Ave on Tingley Drive, is owned by the City of Albuquerque and is managed by Monarch. The building was constructed by the late notable architect Antoine Predock in 1986.
