25th Annual Rio Grande Arts and Crafts Festival kicks off

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Over 150 different artists traveled to Albuquerque this weekend for the 25th annual Rio Grande Arts and Crafts Festival. These artists from all over the country are selling many different types of art, including jewelry, fine art, and pottery.

Even if you aren’t planning on buying crafts, event coordinators say there’s plenty of other activities to indulge in. “Besides the artists, we have music throughout the whole weekend, we have a kids creation station, our artists demonstrate in their booth so you can go by and see what they’re making, talk to them about it. Anyway, it’s a lot of fun, plus food. We have Culinary Arts Row, and you can sample foods there,” said festival founder Ruth Gore.

Sunday is the last day of the festival. Tickets are $10, and children 12 and under can enter for free…
