Toys for Tots holds Show and Shine benefit car show

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – New Mexicans are making sure children in need have gifts under the tree this year by holding a good old-fashioned car show. The Toys for Tots Show and Shine benefit event displayed classic cars, low riders, and motorcycles, all while collecting donations for Toys for Tots.

The free event was held in northeast Albuquerque, and guests were encouraged to bring a non-plush wrapped toy or make a monetary donation in support of Toys for Tots. “If you wanna see what America really is, look around out here. Everyone is different, every nationality, every color. We don’t care about any of the bad stuff or the garbage that goes around. We care about showing these kids that need help that we believe in them,” said Paul Caputo, civilian side coordinator for Toys for Tots Albuquerque.
