ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – As Albuquerque voters prepare to return to the polls for another election, questions about turnout and the voting process take center stage.

Tim Krebs, a University of New Mexico political science professor and former city consultant, explained that non-presidential elections typically see fewer voters, which can influence outcomes.

“So, the turnout is going to be lower. What that does is it tends to advantage the incumbent because the people who are voting, you know, they’re interested, they’re invested, they’re older, they’re homeowners, they’re wealthier,” Krebs said…
