UNM highlights efforts to boost incident awareness through campus safety initiative

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) –  After noting an increase in campus incidents going unreported, the University of New Mexico is reinvigorating a campus safety program, in the hopes of encouraging the campus community to say something when they see something.

“Campus Watch is a program where we want the whole campus to participate in protecting the campus. If you see something, say something,” explained UNM’s newest Campus Watch Coordinator, Rodney Bowe.

Bowe is taking charge of protecting the pack through UNM’s campus watch, modeled after the citizen-led crime prevention program, Neighborhood Watch. “If you see something with your neighbor, you’re going to say something.
