What to know to protect your kids from respiratory illnesses

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — RSV, flu and COVID all seem to blend together in kids so when should you see a doctor about a respiratory illness?

The three respiratory viruses have similar symptoms, including fever cough, congestion. It can even mean not wanting to eat or not acting like themselves, according to Dr. Anna Duran, the chief medical officer at the University of New Mexico Children’s Hospital. Babies can even have trouble breathing.
