ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – A fire at a City of Albuquerque-owned affordable apartment complex for seniors sent three people to the hospital and left eight people displaced on Wednesday morning.
Albuquerque Fire Rescue was dispatched to the Santa Barbara apartments, located at 1420 Edith, at 10:57 a.m. for reports of a possible fire and people trapped inside.

Firefighters arrived on scene and rescued three people from the building and brought the fire under control within 12 minutes. Three residents were taken to the hospital; no injuries to firefighters were reported. One person was found inside the apartment…
