ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Albuquerque police video shows the dramatic encounter officers had with a suspect they ended up shooting last month. The hours-long ordeal started with a shooting, continued with a kidnapping, and then ended in a gunfight with officers.

Thirty-three-year-old Claude Laska was already on APD’s radar, having warrants for accusations that he pistol-whipped his girlfriend and broke into her apartment. But officers tried to catch up with Laska last month after getting a 911 call.
