SANTA FE, N.M. – Millions nationwide remembered those who served by laying wreaths on their graves, including events in Santa Fe and Albuquerque.
The annual day aims to remember the fallen, honor veterans and teach the next generation about their sacrifice.
“The more we spread the word about the people who have served, the people who currently are serving, the greater it increases,” said Nathan Delao, command sergeant major of the New Mexico Army National Guard. “So the support means a tremendous amount, and I believe that successful soldiers can’t do it without family, friends and community support.”…
