Bernco commissioners work to revitalize 4th Street

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Bernalillo County commissioners are drawing up a new vision for 4th Street, and it’s part of an ongoing community project meant to revitalize the corridor. Earlier this year, the county purchased the former Southern Tire Mart Shop for nearly $3 million.

Bernalillo County opens new transitional housing at Ponderosa Place

Commissioners say they plan on turning the former tire warehouse into a North Valley community hub for people of all ages. Earlier this month, commissioners approved a ‘Notice of Intent’ to establish a partnership with Yes Housing New Mexico.

The county is requesting $15 million from the state during this upcoming legislative session in January…
