City opens ‘Portland loo’ at Civic Plaza

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The City of Albuquerque has opened a new outdoor restroom at Civic Plaza. The restroom, known as a “Portland loo”, is on the plaza near Tijeras and Fourth Street. It has a baby changing station, graffiti-proof coating, and blue motion sensor lights.

City of Albuquerque asks for public feedback on how to improve Lomas Blvd.

The city said they are also easy to use and to clean. “We’ve needed restrooms and facilities in, right, in different places in our city for decades. It’s something that we got away from, and it is something that, we just want to be clear, is for lots of folks,” said Mayor Tim Keller.

The city opened its Portland loo in Old Town several years ago…
