2 hospitalized in early morning house fire

Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) – Two people were taken to the hospital early Tuesday morning due to a house fire in northwest Albuquerque. Albuquerque Fire and Rescue arrived on the scene just before 3 A.M to a home on the 4600 block of Fairfax NW. The first units arriving on the scene noticed smoke coming from inside the home. Firefighters were able to bring the fire under control in approximately 15 minutes, but the fire caused extensive damage to the home. Two people were taken to the hospital and a total of seven occupants were displaced. They did receive assistance from the Red Cross. The details on the cause of the fire have not been released…
