[1] New Mexico prepares for Affordable Care Act subsidies to expire – Affordable Care Act subsidies are set to expire next year, meaning health insurance premiums are expected to skyrocket for people across the country. But in New Mexico, state leaders said they got ahead of the expiration, passing funding to help ease the burden. The New Mexico Health Care Authority said the change affects more than 6,000 New Mexicans. The Health Care Authority said that they are holding community events and are reminding those who need help choosing a policy to contact an enrollment broker with Be Well New Mexico.

[2] Bernalillo County reports potential data breach – Bernalillo County announced Tuesday that there may have been a potential data breach related to a third-party software provider the county uses. The county said information related to permits or permit applications issued and received by the county could be compromised. The county also issued a reminder to the public to be vigilant regarding potential scam attempts related to this breach.

[3] Trending warm in NM with rain, mountain snow chances this weekend – Today, high-level clouds are expected to increase throughout the state with temperatures warming up to be roughly 15-20 degrees above normal for afternoon highs. Mild low temperatures will persist once again into Saturday morning as rain and snow showers will swing back into the forecast once again.
