Cooler Air Arrives, Snowfall in southeast New Mexico for Monday

NEW MEXICO (KRQE) – Heading out the door this morning? Well, we have another morning of mild, low temperatures to start the new week. Across the state, temperatures are roughly 15-20 degrees above normal with lows so far this morning in the 40s and 30s. After yesterday’s wet weather of rainfall and mountain snow, we are looking to dry out with lingering cloud coverage along with breezy conditions. Northwestern winds will bring breezy conditions to the central mountain chain, northern and western New Mexico. On the other hand, a backdoor cold front will slide through eastern New Mexico later this morning. Wind gusts may range from 30 to 45 mph; however, behind the front, much colder air will funnel into the state.
