ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Some Albuquerque families got a head start and celebrated the new year at noon on Wednesday. The Albuquerque Museum hosted a free Noon Year’s Eve party, where guests got to ring in the new year with community games, arts and crafts, and something brand new to the event. “For the first time ever, we are hosting a dance party specifically for the littles. The dance floor is for the kids, and we have a special area for the toddlers and babies,” said Diana Delgado, Community Engagement Coordinator.
Just before noon, they started a countdown for a balloon drop so all the kids could celebrate the new year without staying up all night. “If you have a kid, you do not want to leave the house after sundown, and so hearing that there was a ball drop at noon, ya’ know I thought that’s perfect, we still get to celebrate, and we’ll be in bed at 7:45,” said Graham Ansell…
