City of Albuquerque begins search for new Albuquerque police chief

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The search for a new Albuquerque Police Department chief is now underway. The city hired a consulting firm to help with the recruitment and selection process, and applications are already being submitted. Mayor Tim Keller said he’s looking for someone who can meet today’s challenges, including fentanyl and long-standing cracks in the criminal justice system.
