BCSO deputy charged with DWI in Colorado

BERNALILLO COUNTY, N.M. — A Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office deputy is facing charges for an alleged DWI last year in Colorado, BCSO confirmed Tuesday.

Deputy Lorenzo Herrera is accused of a DWI in Breckenridge, Colorado – reportedly in November 2025. BCSO stated they’re aware of the charges and expressed disappointment with his actions.

“Sheriff [John] Allen was extremely disappointed to learn of this case. Driving impaired is reckless, selfish and puts innocent people at risk. Sheriff Allen has zero tolerance for any BCSO employee who violates the law and undermines the trust of the community we serve,” BCSO stated…
