ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — New Mexico is observing Martin Luther King Jr. Day with events scheduled and businesses and services closed for the day.
In Albuquerque, a commemorative breakfast begins at 8 a.m. at the Marriott Pyramid North. The Grant Chapel AME Lay Organization is hosting this event. Then, the UNM National Panhellenic Council will host a day of service. It starts at 1 p.m. at the African American Performing Arts Center.
