Missile manufacturing company breaks ground in Rio Rancho

RIO RANCHO, N.M. (KRQE) – Leaders hope it’s a huge jobs win for New Mexico. Now, the work is officially underway on a massive missile manufacturing plant near Rio Rancho.

One thousand acres, an hour’s drive from Albuquerque, is officially earmarked for the future. “Building on our legacy of being the home of rocketry, since Robert Goddard to White Sands. Castelion is the future, and we’re excited that they’re building here in New Mexico,” said Economic Development Department, Cabinet Secretary, Rob Black.

California-based defense technology company, Castelion, broke ground on its latest endeavor called Project Ranger, paying homage to the original Project Ranger that paved the way for the Apollo moon landings…
