New Mexicans urged to prepare for frigid temperatures, snow, and ice

SANTA FE , NM (KKOB)– The state Department of Homeland Security and Emergency Management is urging residents to prepare for dangerously cold temperatures and winter conditions expected across much of the state.

The department is activating the State Emergency Operations Center to an enhanced readiness status to better coordinate with the National Weather Service and local officials to support resource requests as they come in.
