13-year-old in CYFD custody arrested for assaulting CYFD employee and APD officer

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – A 13-year-old-boy in Children, Youth and Families Department custody is accused of sexually assaulting a CYFD employee and attacking an Albuquerque police officer.

According to an APD police report and court documents obtained by KOB 4, a CYFD employee was asked to transport a 13-year-old boy from the CYFD headquarters to the New Day Youth Shelter. That’s when the boy allegedly began touching the employee and making inappropriate comments.

The employee told officers she asked the boy to stop numerous times, only to see that he began touching himself while continuing to touch her…
