Man sentenced for drug trafficking after arrest in Albuquerque

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The sentence was handed down for a man picked up by Albuquerque police with his teenage brother and tens-of-thousands of fentanyl pills. Luis Flores and his juvenile brother came from Phoenix, Arizona, and were arrested in Albuquerque. According to the Bernalillo County District Attorney’s Office, Flores was found with more than 28,000 pills. Helicopter footage showed Flores fleeing from police.

Last year, he pleaded guilty to trafficking, aggravated fleeing, and criminal damage. Judge Emetario Rudolfo sentenced him to five years behind bars.
