ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – A second arrest has been made in connection with the first homicide of the year. The second suspect, 22-year-old Dominic Martinez, is no stranger to law enforcement. Police say that Martinez helped another suspect, Peyton Reagan, track down Reagan’s girlfriend and ultimately kill the man she was with on New Year’s Day.
According to police reports, Reagan was angry with his girlfriend and wanted to harm her and her friends following an argument. He texted Martinez, asking for a ride to find his girlfriend and shoot her. Martinez then asked his cousin to pick them up and take them to Downtown Albuquerque to carry out the attack.
Martinez also offered to trade the gun used in the crime for two handguns. Police say that Reagan got into a confrontation with Alexander Wilson, who was with his girlfriend at the time. Witnesses reported that Martinez exited the vehicle to assist Reagan, who then shot Wilson, resulting in his death…
