Monday morning forecast

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Some clouds continue to move across New Mexico this morning and will stick with us through the day with some sun mixed in. No rain or snow are falling from these clouds. Freezing fog has developed between De Baca County, Chaves County, and Eddy County, where visibility is dropping to a mile or less with the densest spot between Artesia and Lake Arthur. This will burn off several hours after sunrise.

Warmer than average conditions continue across New Mexico this afternoon – highs will range from the 50s to a few spots nearing 70°. Highest elevated areas will stay in the mid to upper 40s. Albuquerque’s forecast high is 62°, putting us almost 10° above our climatological normal. The good news is that we will be falling short of breaking record temps; previous record high is 69° from last year. A weak cool front will slide through the state later this evening.
