ALBUQUERQUE, NEW MEXICO – Two major New Mexico highways reopened this morning after separate fatal incidents in Albuquerque and Santa Fe, though parts of one interstate remain closed as police continue their investigations.
I‑40 reopened in both directions between Wyoming and Juan Tabo after being shut down overnight for a fatal police shooting. According to Albuquerque Police, the incident began around 3:30 p.m. with reports of a wrong‑way driver near Eubank.
