AFR Engine 11 crew gets patient’s bike back home

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – When there’s a will, there’s always a way. On Friday, Engine 11 was called to help a person who fell off their bicycle, but of course, AFR couldn’t just leave their bike behind.

The patient was taken to the hospital, but before transport, fire crews made sure that the bike would make it home safely to the family. So Engine 11’s firefighters did what firefighters do. Helmet on, saddled up, and took the bike by the bars and rode it back to the patient’s home.

AFR says Engine 11 is so busy that sometimes the calls blur together. But it’s the human moments that stick with them the most…
