ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – It was a great weekend to get out and shop local, and Pillar Events brought back its annual Ramadan Bazaar. This was the third year of the event.
It started Sunday afternoon at the Sid Cutter Pilot’s Pavilion to celebrate Middle Eastern culture and the upcoming month of Ramadan. Local vendors brought out handmade crafts, clothing, and plenty of food and drink options to try.

Event organizers say they wanted to highlight the Muslim community and bring people together. “Our events are either at cost or free to the public because we really believe in bringing high-quality events to the community that everybody can enjoy, regardless of their economic background,” said Pillar Events founder, Khadja Chudnoff.
There were also lots of activities for the kids to enjoy, like a rock wall, bike rodeo, and free books…
